Poster Presenter Guidelines & Information

Below are the poster presenter guidelines and important information for the 18th National Metropolis Conference held at 19th National Metropolis Conference from March 16th – 18th, 2017. Your poster should include the following: (1) the title of the presentation and authors, (2) a copy of the abstract (in large type) and (3) any charts/tables or illustrations which communicate the results of the research.

Equipment supplied:

  • Poster boards are either 4’x8’ to accommodate two separate poster presentations per side *
  • Push pins


*Poster board locations will be based on a first-come first-served basis. Therefore the final size of the posters should be no more than 4’ high and 3.5’ wide to accommodate double poster boards. Materials presented on the poster board should be of a reasonably legible size and visually dynamic either by using colour printing or visual representations of your data (i.e. figures, graphs, photos), versus excessive amounts of text. Upon arrival at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel, poster presenters should register at the Metropolis welcome desk. Please advise the registration staff that you are presenting a poster. You will be provided with assistance in identifying available poster locations which have been assigned for their high traffic areas near exhibitor booths and many of the workshop rooms.
Poster Schedule Poster Set-Up:   Wednesday, March 15th   12:00 PM- 5:00 PM Poster Dismantle:   Saturday, March 18th   12:00PM to 3:00PM (all items must be removed during this time and will not be saved if remaining) While the posters will be on display for the duration of the conference, this year’s program has allocated special poster presentation times DAILY immediately following lunch on the conference session days, March 16, 17 and 18 when delegates are invited to view the posters and ask questions to the authors.
